Why We Built This Site
Georgia’s official guidance sends warrant questions to the sheriff in the county where the order may have been issued. In Cook County, one office cannot answer every part of a case. The Sheriff’s Office handles service, custody, and current countywide routing. April Garrett, Clerk of Superior Court, maintains superior criminal and bench-warrant files. Magistrate Court handles most criminal-warrant applications, while Probate Court and municipal clerks hold traffic and city matters. Cook County also has no verified public warrant search that covers every court. This resource brings those official routes together and explains why a blank citation portal or court search is not proof that a warrant is absent.
What You Will Find Here
- Warrant lookup: the information to prepare and the official Cook County offices to contact
- Outstanding warrants: what active status means and why Cook County does not publish a verified online roster
- Missed court dates: how bench warrants can arise in Superior, Magistrate, Probate, or municipal court
- Arrest warrants: how judicial authorization differs from a conviction and how the sheriff serves an order
- Lawful resolution: questions to ask the issuing clerk or an attorney about recall, appearance, surrender, or bond
What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Georgia court, the Cook County Sheriff’s Office, or any government agency. Its limits are clear:
- We cannot run an official warrant check or confirm whether a warrant exists for anyone
- We cannot remove, recall, quash, or clear a warrant on any system
- We cannot post bond or accept any kind of payment toward a warrant
- We cannot arrange a surrender, a court date, or a warrant walk-through
- We cannot give legal advice or tell you how a specific warrant applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or warrant listing on this site is current right now
Only the court that issued the warrant or the sheriff's warrant unit that holds it can confirm whether a warrant exists and whether it has been recalled or cleared. We can point you to the right office, but the answer has to come from them.
Search Partners
Third-party providers power search boxes that appear on some pages. Those providers control their services, results, and prices. A paid signup reached through a search tool may result in a referral fee that supports this resource. Those results are not an official Cook County warrant check, and the site does not control their accuracy or charges. Confirm every claimed warrant with the Cook County Sheriff or issuing court.
